‘Building A Community of Movers and Shakers’

PUSH Pins discovers the potential of young imaginations, guides children in creative, expressive movement, experiences the joy of living and the wonder of the world around us, and builds confidence and healthy esteem by developing self-identities, in a safe and nurturing environment.

Heather Stevenson’s consistent temperament and classroom management gives students the security needed to work on laying down inhibitions and stepping into the freedom of physical movement, imagination and community.

“Heather is a kid-friendly human.”

Heather,
I have to tell you, that once again you amazed me on Tuesday night with the way you facilitated the dance program with the kids. You were great with all the kids. The thing that really stood out to me, however, was what you did for [child’s name]. While stretching she wasn't quite able to grab her toes and you said that she could just grab her ankles. But then you said and did something magical, you said to her: " . . .you know what, I think I will grab my ankles too."  WOW!  That about brings me to tears every time I think of it.  Such a simple gesture, profoundly communicated so much love.  I have no doubt that [child’s name] got it!  It made me wish that I had sat in on everyone of your classes to learn from you.
